Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is hiring for a Cookie Crew member at our Short North store. You will greet guests, take orders, and assist with baking cookies and scooping ice cream. Provide a warm, memorable guest experience while maintaining fast, accurate service.

You'll handle payments, upsell when appropriate, and ensure a clean, welcoming bakery environment. Night, weekend, and holiday availability is a plus; 18+ years old required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months in a customer service focused role preferred.
• Positive, personable demeanor and willingness to exceed guest expectations.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lb and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders per store procedures.
• Explain menu items and confirm orders for accuracy.
• Provide warm, friendly service in person and over the phone.
• Bake cookies to order and scoop ice cream as needed.
• Package and send out fast, warm delivery orders with accuracy.
• Handle cash and payments with no discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery.

As a member of the Cookie Crew at our Short North store located at 749 N. High Street, Columbus OH 43215, you are the ultimate Insomniac. Not only are you the point person at the front of the store for interacting with our customers, but you also get to bake all of our awesome warm and delicious cookies as well!

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet guests entering the store and take their orders according to procedure
• Help customers understand menu items, answer clarifying questions, and repeat orders for accuracy
• Give each customer a warm experience with a smile in person & over the phone
• Bake our delicious cookies to perfection & a scoop of ice cream
• Ensure fast, warm, and correct delivery orders are packaged and sent out
• Handle cash and payments accurately and have no shortages or overages
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the bakery

Desired Skills & Experience

• At least 6 months of experience in a customer service focused role (preferred)
