Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown Jacksonville is seeking a Full Time Cook I to join our Dietary Department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. The role supports Hospital at Home meal delivery, prepares meals per recipes, and maintains clean, safe work areas for quality patient service.

The ideal candidate has less than 1 year of food service or cooking experience and may hold a High School Diploma with ServSafe preferred. Evening hours 2pm to 10:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Preferred).
• ServSafe (Preferred).
• Less than 1 year Food Service Experience Preferred.
• Less than 1 year Cooking Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measuring, mixing, portioning and cooking according to recipes and production charts.
• Performing clean, safe, and sanitary work in accordance with department policies.
• Filling out logs, production charts, and cleaning schedules as assigned.
• Cooling, packing, and labelling food for Hospital at Home meal delivery.

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Full Time Cook I to our Dietary Department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a Full Time evenings opportunity working 2pm to 10:30p. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in multiple areas within the kitchen and be proficient in a variety of cooking techniques and production methods.ServSafecertification is a plus.

As a Cook I, you will be responsible for:

• Measuring, mixing, portioning and cooking according to provided recipes and production charts for Hospital at Home patients
• Performing clean, safe, and sanitary work in accordance with department policies
• Filling out all logs, production charts, cleaning schedules,etcassigned by management in accordance with department policies and procedures
• Cooling, packing, and labelling food for Hospital at Home meal delivery service

Experience Requirements:

• Less than 1 year Food Service Experience Preferred
• Less than 1 year Cooking Experience Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements:
