Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown Jacksonville is seeking a Full Time Cook I for the Dietary Department. This evenings role runs 9:00am to 5:30pm; prior kitchen experience across multiple areas and proficiency in different cooking techniques are desired.

ServSafe certification is a plus. Responsibilities include preparing meals per recipes and charts, maintaining sanitary conditions, logging activities, and labeling Hospital at Home meals for delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measuring, mixing, portioning and cooking according to recipes and production charts.
• Performing clean, safe, and sanitary work in accordance with department policies.
• Filling out logs, production charts, and cleaning schedules as assigned by management.
• Cooling, packing, and labelling food for Hospital at Home meal delivery service.

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Full Time Cook I to our Dietary Department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a Full Time evenings opportunity working 9:00am to 5:30p. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in multiple areas within the kitchen and be proficient in a variety of cooking techniques and production methods. ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measuring, mixing, portioning and cooking according to provided recipes and production charts for Hospital at Home patients
• Performing clean, safe, and sanitary work in accordance with department policies
• Filling out all logs, production charts, cleaning schedules, etc assigned by management in accordance with department policies and procedures
• Cooling, packing, and labelling food for Hospital at Home meal delivery service

Experience Requirements

• Less than 1 year Food Service Experience Preferred
• Less than 1 year Cooking Experience Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma (Preferred)
• ServSafe (Preferred)
