Job summary

Baptist Health Nassau is seeking a Full-Time Cook I for the Dietary team at Baptist Nassau. The position supports Hospital at Home meal service and requires prior kitchen experience.

The role involves cooking per recipes, maintaining safety/ sanitation, logging production data, and packing meals for delivery. ServSafe preferred, HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Less than 1 year food service experience preferred.
• Less than 3-4 year cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measuring, mixing, portioning and cooking according to provided recipes and production charts for Hospital at Home patients.
• Performing clean, safe, and sanitary work in accordance with department policies.
• Filling out all logs, production charts, cleaning schedules, etc. assigned by management in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Cooling, packing, and labelling food for Hospital at Home meal delivery service.
• Read recipes, safely utilize knives, braise, sauté, roast, and utilize other cooking skills as needed.

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Full-Time Cook I to our Dietary team at Baptist Nassau.

This is a Full Time opportunity working 6:00am-2:30pm days, with rotating weekends. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in multiple areas within the kitchen and be proficient in a variety of cooking techniques and production methods.ServSafecertification is a plus.

As a Cook I, you will be responsible for:
