Job summary

We are seeking a Cook at Sodexo located in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold dishes for all meal periods and events following Sodexo’s culinary standards.

The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and teamwork while maintaining an organized workstation. Open to candidates with 0–2 years’ experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read and follow recipes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with applicable standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, cooking, and serving foods.
• Estimate food requirements and check production to plan production.
• Significant walking or other mobility.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shift.
• Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time.
• Other duties as needed.
