Job summary

PruittHealth Corporation is seeking a Cook-Dietary Aide AL to assist in meal preparation and support dietary service operations in a long-term care setting. You will help ensure meals are nutritious, served at the right temperatures, and meeting residents’ needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with meal service, tray delivery, cleanliness, and adherence to dietary guidelines. The role requires basic food service experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year institutional food service experience as a cook.
• Experience in long term care food production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in the preparation of meals, salads, desserts, snacks or other dishes for patients/residents.
• Serve nourishments in accordance with procedural guidelines.
• Properly store leftovers and opened food.
• Follow procedures for serving partner meals.
• Record menu substitutions and adhere to guidelines.
• Comply with infection control policies in the work area.
• Deliver trays to patients/residents on halls and in dining area.
• Assist with serving/pouring beverages and making coffee/tea as requested.
• Clean tables in dining area after each meal.
