Job summary

You will work under the Food Service/Dietary Manager to ensure meals are nutritious, properly prepared, plated attractively, and served at correct temperatures, following state regulations.

The role focuses on supporting dietary operations, maintaining safety standards, and delivering meals with care to residents’ dietary needs.

Qualifications

• One year of institutional food service experience as a cook.
• Experience in long-term care food production is preferred.
• Functional literacy to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in meal preparation for patients/residents.
• Serve nourishments and assist with tray delivery.
• Store leftovers properly and maintain sanitation.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness.
• Record temperatures and monitor food safety.
• Assist with menu substitutions and record preferences.
