Job summary

PruittHealth in the United States seeks a Cook - Dietary Aide HCC to assist with meal preparation, ensure nutritional meals, and follow state and federal regulations. You will work with the Food Service/Dietary Manager to deliver meals that meet residents' dietary needs and maintain proper temperatures.

Responsibilities include setting up trays, serving nourishments, cleaning, recording temperatures, and assisting kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• A minimum of one (1) year institutional food service experience as a cook.
• Experience in long term care food production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, salads, desserts, and between-meal nourishments.
• Serve nourishments according to guidelines.
• Properly store leftovers and opened foods.
• Follow procedures for serving partner meals.
• Record menu substitutions per guidelines.
• Comply with infection control policies.
• Deliver trays to patients/residents.
• Assist with serving and pouring beverages.
• Clean tables after meals.
• Clean work areas and store cleaning equipment.
• Record temperatures for freezers and walk-in.
• Maintain dishwasher and dish sink temperatures.
• Maintain supply stock and proper storage.
• Set up tray line and perform tray line service.
• Operate dish machine and related equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and report problems.
