Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Cook-Dietary Aide to assist in meal preparation, tray line setup, and food service in a nursing facility. You will work under the Dietary Manager to ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines and are served at proper times.

The role emphasizes adherence to state and federal food safety regulations, proper handling of food, and collaboration with kitchen staff to maintain quality and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of institutional food service experience as a cook.
• Experience in long term care food production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in meal preparation, salads, desserts and between-meal nourishments.
• Serve nourishments according to procedural guidelines.
• Properly store leftovers and opened food.
• Record menu substitutions and follow guidelines.
• Maintain infection control policies in the work area.
• Deliver trays to patients/residents on halls and in dining area.
• Operate dish machine and assist with cleaning and maintenance.
• Follow recipes and prepare meals per Dietitian's cycle and serve on time.
