Job summary

Confident Search Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer for a manufacturing facility in the southwest Atlanta metro area. You will troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems in an Allen Bradley PLC environment to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime.

You will lead projects, coordinate with multiple departments, and develop technical reports and FATs while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience and/or training; prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer.
Experience in manufacturing environments with electrical troubleshooting, machine controls, and PLC/HMI programming.

Responsibilities

Maintain relationships across Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team and Production to support operations.
Troubleshoot electrical issues on equipment from 24V to 480V circuits; diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
Provide controls engineering support for projects including design, wiring, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning and troubleshooting.
Lead projects by coordinating activities, timelines, and requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare technical reports, FATs, and documentation for controls activities and improvements.
Ensure safety compliance with OHSA and internal EHS standards.
