Job summary
Essenti Talent is seeking a Controls Engineer for our manufacturing facility in the southwest Atlanta metro area. The role will troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems in an Allen Bradley PLC environment.
The engineer will lead manufacturing projects, optimize safety, efficiency, and uptime, and collaborate across departments to support continuous improvement. Relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package are available.
Qualifications
- Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of related work experience.
- Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.
- Experience in electrical/control system design, wiring, and testing on manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and OHSA/EHS compliance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team and Production.
- Electrical troubleshooting on equipment from 24V to 480V control circuits.
- Provide controls engineering expertise for projects including electrical design and PLC/PC programming.
- Lead projects coordinating activities, timelines and requirements with stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports, FATs, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
