Job summary
Connectly Recruiting is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer for a major manufacturing facility in the southwest Atlanta metro area. The role focuses on troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment and automation systems to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime in an Allen-Bradley PLC environment.
The job requires leading and supporting projects across departments, with responsibilities spanning electrical troubleshooting, machine programming, and project coordination from initiation
Qualifications
- Four years of technical education or degree, or two years plus related experience.
- Prefer 5+ years as a controls engineer, but accepting 2+ years with relevant experience.
- Experience in Allen-Bradley PLC environments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain effective relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production to support operations and continuous improvement.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment ranging from 24V control circuits to 480V circuits.
- Support manufacturing projects with controls engineering: specification, design, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Lead projects by coordinating activities, timelines, and requirements with internal/external stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports and FAT-related activities and energy/process optimization tasks.
- Maintain compliance with OHSA and internal EHS standards.
