Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer for a major manufacturing facility in the southwest Atlanta metro area. The role focuses on troubleshooting, programming, and integrating electrical and automation systems in an Allen Bradley PLC environment.

The engineer will lead project activities, develop control strategies, and ensure safety compliance across stamping, die casting, plating/finishing, and assembly lines. Relocation assistance and strong benefits are available.

Qualifications

Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related experience, or equivalent.
Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.

Responsibilities

Maintain effective working relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production to support operations and continuous improvement.
Perform electrical troubleshooting on production equipment from 24V to 480V circuits, diagnose faults, and implement corrective actions.
Provide controls engineering expertise in projects: technical consultation, component specs, circuit and control design, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Lead projects by coordinating activities, timelines, and requirements with internal teams and external contractors.
Prepare and maintain technical reports and FAT, alterations, root-cause analyses, energy and process optimization.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations per OHSA and internal EHS standards.
