Job summary

Hire Consulting Services seeks a seasoned Controls Engineer for its southwest Atlanta metro facility. The role involves troubleshooting, programming, and integrating electrical and automation systems to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime.

You will work with cross-functional teams and lead projects from initiation through FAT and commissioning. The position requires experience in PLC programming, HMI and robotics interfaces, and designing electrical modifications.

Qualifications

Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related experience.
Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years.
Experience in Allen-Bradley PLC environment; familiarity with stamping, zinc die casting, plating/finishing, and assembly is a plus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical and control systems on production equipment across 24V to 480V circuits.
Lead or support manufacturing projects from initiation to completion with cross-functional teams.
Design modifications to electrical circuitry to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime.
Develop and maintain technical reports, FAT plans, and documentation.
Program and commission PLCs, HMIs, and robotics interfaces for intermittent line equipment.
Ensure compliance with OHSA and internal EHS standards.
