Job summary
Essenti Talent is seeking a Controls Engineer for our southwest Atlanta metro facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment and automation systems to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime in an Allen Bradley PLC environment.
Responsibilities include leading projects from initiation through completion, documenting activities, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience/training, or equivalent.
- Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.
Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production to support operations and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on production equipment from 24V to 480V circuits.
- Provide controls engineering expertise for projects including design, wiring, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Lead projects, coordinate activities, timelines, and requirements with internal/external stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports and FAT-related or process optimization documentation.
- Maintain safety/regulatory compliance per OHSA and internal EHS standards.
