Job summary

Soap Creek Resources in the greater Atlanta area is seeking a Controls Engineer for our sprawling manufacturing facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment and automation systems in an Allen-Bradley PLC environment.

You will lead or support projects to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime across stamping, zinc die casting, plating, finishing, and assembly processes, with relocation assistance and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education in conjunction with related work experience and/or training.
• Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.
• Experience in an Allen Bradley PLC environment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relations with departments to support operations and continuous improvement.
• Electrical troubleshooting on equipment from 24V to 480V circuits and diagnose faults.
• Provide controls engineering for projects including design, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Lead projects by coordinating activities, timelines, and requirements with stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and FAT-related documentation and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OHSA/EHS standards.
