Job summary

Henderson Group Recruiting is assisting a Major manufacturing client in the Atlanta area to fill a Controls Engineer role at their southwest suburban facility.

The candidate will troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems in an Allen Bradley PLC environment across stamping, zinc die casting, plating/finishing and assembly processes. Strong safety and project leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Four years of technical education or degree, or two years with related work experience.
• Prefer 5+ years as a controls engineer, but 2+ years considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships across Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production to support operations.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment from 24V control circuits to 480V circuits.
• Provide controls engineering expertise for projects, including design, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Lead projects coordinating activities with internal departments, vendors, and contractors.
• Prepare technical reports and FAT-related activities; document changes to machinery capabilities.
• Ensure safety compliance with OHSA and internal EHS standards.
