Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC in Wyoming, MI is seeking a Controls Engineer II to drive the full lifecycle of custom automation projects, from concept through commissioning. You will apply strong electrical design and software architecture skills and work with standard machinery safety protocols.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, PLC/HMI development, and system integration, including on-site startup. Travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical/automation or related field.
5+ years designing and programming industrial automation systems.
Experience with NEC/NFPA 79 and related codes.
Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms required; others preferred.
AutoCAD Electrical proficiency required.
Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Design and program control systems for custom automation projects.
Develop PLC/HMI architectures and integrate robotics and drives.
Lead system integration, debugging, and on-site commissioning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables.
