Job summary
Electrical Automation Services seeks a skilled Controls Engineer for our Buckeye, AZ facility on a 2-2-3 schedule, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. You will act as the on-shift controls expert, diagnosing PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and network issues to keep line throughput high.
You’ll lead automation projects, mentor technicians, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality to drive safety and reliability improvements. Relocation assistance is available and a competitive bonus is offered.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or industrial automation.
- At least four years of industrial automation or controls experience.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and networks.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
- Maintain backups and documentation.
