Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a qualified Controls Engineer for on-site work in Goodyear, AZ, supporting a high-speed beverage facility in Glendale.

You will troubleshoot PLC/HMI, participate in improvements with operations, maintenance, and engineering, and mentor technicians. The role offers a base salary of $100,000–$130,000 with a 20% target annual bonus and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology, information systems, industrial automation or related field.
• At least four years in industrial automation/controls in high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, instrumentation and networking.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated production equipment.
• Diagnose PLC/HMI/VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
• Develop improvements to safety, quality, reliability and throughput.
• Lead controls projects and mentor maintenance staff.
• Maintain documentation and backups for PLC/HMI programs.
