Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for an on-site role in Goodyear, AZ. You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, troubleshoot PLC/HMI/VFD/servo systems, and lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput while mentoring maintenance staff.

The ideal candidate has a related Associate degree and 4+ years in high-speed manufacturing automation, with strong electrical schematics interpretation and network knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related discipline.
• Four+ years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for production, processing, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
• Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability and throughput.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators; maintain drawings and backups.
