Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking a PLC Controls Engineer for an on-site, day-shift role in Goodyear, AZ, supporting a high-speed beverage facility in Glendale. You will lead Tier 1/2 controls troubleshooting and collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to boost reliability and throughput.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years in industrial automation, strong PLC/HMI/VFD/servo experience, and the ability to mentor technicians.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology, information systems, industrial automation and controls, or related field.
- Four+ years in industrial automation or controls in food/beverage or high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, instrumentation, and industrial networks.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Excellent communication across multiple plant departments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert for automated production lines.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo motors and networks.
- Diagnose issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators on controls practices.
