Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is hiring a Controls Engineer for an on-site role in Tempe, AZ, on a 2-2-3 day schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The position offers a base salary of $100,000–$130,000 with a 20% target bonus and relocation assistance if qualified.
You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and networks, while leading automation projects and mentoring maintenance staff to improve safety, quality, and throughput across high-speed beverage-related production lines.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required or equivalent experience in automation/controls.
- 4+ years in industrial automation/controls in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming abilities.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and networking.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Excellent communication across plant teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1/2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation issues.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
