Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Controls Account Manager to join our Commercial HVAC team. You will develop long-term relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, and building owners, delivering total building solutions focused on energy efficiency and sustainability.

You will provide HVAC controls expertise, assess customer needs, assemble project teams, convert leads into opportunities, and build account plans.

Qualifications

4+ years of demonstrated experience or a Bachelor of Science degree.
2+ years of solution sales experience.
Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience and leadership alignment.

Responsibilities

Provide knowledge and consultation in HVAC controls solutions for customer problems, including financial considerations.
Ascertain customer needs and market opportunities; assemble acquisition team as needed.
Convert leads into opportunities by defining the sales process and coordinating the team.
Develop and execute an account-specific business plan to foster long-term, mutual, profitable partnerships.
Assist customers with technical questions on HVAC systems, Trane products, controls, installation, operation, and maintenance.
Plan and visit customers to advance deals and relationships.
