Job summary

Cloudera seeks a collaborative Contracts Manager to join its legal team supporting the U.S. sales organization. You will review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts including enterprise software agreements and NDAs, working with cross-functional teams to drive efficient closures.

The role emphasizes advisory support, data privacy and licensing awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience negotiating sell-side technology and digital data contracts.
• Strong knowledge of software industry legal issues: data privacy, IP protection, cloud, revenue recognition.
• Expertise in AI, commercial transactions, and complex technology negotiations.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work independently or collaboratively.
• Comfort dealing directly with customers, sales teams, and management.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and provide contracting expertise with cross-functional teams to close new and follow-on business.
• Ensure all agreements comply with policies and global standards for hybrid cloud deployment.
• Prepare contract paperwork and advise stakeholders of rights, obligations, and risk.
• Balance competing priorities and exercise strategic judgment to elevate when needed.
• Compile and analyze contract data and maintain accurate historical records.
• Build rapport with internal clients to facilitate efficient contract closures while minimizing risk.
