Job summary

KingRecruitingServices seeks a Phlebotomist (Contract) to perform blood draws, label and handle specimens, and maintain accurate data in a fast-paced lab environment. The position covers locations across Montgomery County, MD, on first shift (Mon–Fri 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm; EOS 8am–12pm) with a potential path to permanent placement.

Responsibilities include specimen processing, proper labeling, transport packaging, and adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens as required.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain data records.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and/or caregivers.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to protocol and temperature requirements.
• Ensure OSHA and DEP regulations are followed; attend trainings and keep up to date with procedures.
