Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Montgomery County, MD, covering various locations. Schedule is first shift, Mon–Fri, with options between 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm (EOS 8am–12pm).

Projected duration is 3 months with potential for permanent placement. The role involves performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, maintaining records, and ensuring specimen integrity per protocol and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Ensure proper labeling and transport of specimens and compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings and assist with workflow improvements.
