Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist (Code 6211) for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Location covers Montgomery County, MD, with 1st shift hours Mon–Fri 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm, EOS 8am–12pm.

The role requires blood draws, specimen labeling, proper handling, and adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations. Minimum qualifications include phlebotomy certification and 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Valid state phlebotomy certification as required.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture; label and process specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain accurate lab data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package and transport specimens per protocol.
• Ensure OSHA/DEP regulations compliance.
• Attend annual department trainings.
