Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label specimens, and assist with specimen processing across multiple Montgomery County locations. The role is a float contract with first shift hours, covering several facilities and a potential for permanent placement.

The ideal candidate has phlebotomy certification, 2 years of phlebotomy experience, and proficiency with MS Office. Training and benefits are provided as part of the contract.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures to patients as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and match lab requisitions to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
