MDS Staffing is seeking a contract Phlebotomist (6211) to support multiple Montgomery County locations in MD. The role offers a 1st shift schedule, with 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm options and EOS 8am–12pm. The assignment is for about 3 months with potential for permanent hire.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, processing specimens, labeling, centrifuging, and ensuring compliance with OSHA/DEP. Requirements include a phlebotomy certification, venipuncture experience, and a high school

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture; label and process specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data; ensure proper packaging.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients; follow protocols.
• Verify requisitions; match forms to specimens; store samples per protocol.
• Adhere to OSHA/DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
