Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection per procedure.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens; maintain accurate records.
• Maintain patient information and specimen integrity; ensure proper packaging for transport.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and provide courteous service.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
