Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Colonial Heights, VA. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:45am–4:30pm. This role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and maintaining accurate lab records with potential for permanent placement.

Requirements include 6 months of venipuncture experience and a valid phlebotomy certification for the state. High school diploma or GED is required. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent credential

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains the venipuncture process to patients in a clear, courteous manner.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and labels.
• Package specimens for transport and store specimens according to required temperature and protocol.
• Attend annual department trainings and follow OSHA and DEP regulations.
