Formación

• Experience doing blood draws and venipuncture in a fast paced lab or hospital.
• Labeling specimens and centrifuging as part of routine workflows.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination per procedures.
• Update patient information accurately in the system.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Check test requisitions or labels for accuracy; ensure 100% correctness.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples by required temperature.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
