Talent With Heart seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Colonial Heights, VA. Schedule is 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 3-month duration and potential for permanent placement. Benefits are available and prior hard-stick experience is valued.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data recording, and compliant handling of specimens under OSHA/DEP regulations. Experience with venipuncture in fast-paced settings is required.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens per protocol.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Update patient information and properly store specimens.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match requisitions with specimens and ensure accuracy.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries by reading lab results.
