Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification is required in the employed state.
• Minimum of 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED; familiarity with lab protocols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Update patient information and ensure specimen transport integrity.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and guardians.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and department trainings.
