Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site and remote support for desktop, laptop, and mobile devices in a contract role based in Waco, TX. The role covers Windows/macOS maintenance, Microsoft 365, and AD administration, with focus on user productivity and security.

Responsibilities include imaging and deploying devices, handling incidents in the ticketing system, and collaborating with IT teams to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of desktop support in a corporate environment.
• Strong experience with Windows 10/11.
• Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 services.
• Hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Experience using ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Familiar with remote support tools and remote troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop/laptop/printer problems.
• Install and configure Windows/macOS devices.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint.
• Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
• Image, deploy, and lifecycle-manage devices; document incidents in tickets.
• Assist with virtual meeting and collaboration tech; educate users on best practices.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with IT teams.
