Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist II for its Houston, TX office to provide hands-on Level 2 IT support for local users and assist a nationwide organization. This fully onsite contract role focuses on Windows, Microsoft 365, and identity management, with collaboration across Infrastructure, Security, Networking, and Engineering teams.

Candidates should bring 5+ years of desktop support experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to own issues through resolution in

Qualifications

5+ years of desktop support or similar IT support experience.
Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and administration.
Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration and support.
Experience with Active Directory and Entra ID user provisioning and access.
Experience supporting onsite and remote enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary onsite IT support resource for Houston office (~100 employees).
Provide Level 2 onsite and remote support for Windows desktops, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, printers and room tech.
Troubleshoot OS, apps, connectivity, authentication and access issues.
Administer and support Microsoft 365 apps and services: Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online.
Manage Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID accounts, access and group memberships.
Support onboarding/offboarding, device deployment, and lifecycle activities.
Configure and support Intune-managed endpoints and mobile devices.
Escalate complex infra or security issues while maintaining ownership and communication.
