Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and software within a contracting role based in Irvine, CA. The role emphasizes strong customer service and timely issue resolution across Windows and macOS environments.

You will administer Active Directory, Microsoft 365 apps, and device deployment, while maintaining asset inventories and supporting collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of desktop support in a corporate environment.
• Strong experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Knowledge of desktop hardware, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Experience using ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Familiarity with remote support tools and remote troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Diagnose and resolve problems with desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain Windows and macOS devices.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
• Perform device imaging, deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Use remote support tools to troubleshoot end-user issues.
• Document incidents, service requests, resolutions and updates in the ticketing system.
• Support virtual meeting and collaboration technologies.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle tracking.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with other IT teams.
• Educate users on technology best practices and security awareness.
