Job summary

TEKsystems in Austin, TX seeks a Desktop Support Technician to deliver onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. You will troubleshoot Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 apps, manage Active Directory, and maintain devices with imaging and deployment tools.

Responsibilities include documenting incidents, supporting remote tools, and assisting with asset management while educating users on security best practices. This is a contract, fully onsite role in Austin.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of desktop support in a corporate environment
• Strong experience with Windows 10/11
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
• Hardware and peripheral troubleshooting knowledge
• Experience using ServiceNow
• Familiar with remote support tools and methodologies
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Install and maintain Windows and macOS devices.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps: Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint.
• Manage user accounts in Active Directory and related systems.
• Perform device imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Support virtual meeting and collaboration technologies.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle tracking.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with IT teams.
• Educate users on security best practices and IT procedures.
