Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Desktop Support Technician in Irvine, CA to provide onsite IT support for desktops, laptops, mobiles, and software. You will troubleshoot hardware, manage Active Directory and Microsoft 365, and maintain asset lifecycles.

You’ll work with ServiceNow, imaging, and deployment tools while delivering strong customer service and collaborating with IT teams. This contract role is onsite in Irvine with benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of desktop support or help desk experience in a corporate environment.
• Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 OS and Office apps.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Experience using ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with remote support tools and troubleshooting methods.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Diagnose and resolve problems with desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain Windows and macOS devices.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint.
• Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and related systems.
• Perform device imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Utilize remote tools to troubleshoot end-user issues.
• Document incidents, requests, resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Support virtual meetings and collaboration technologies.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle tracking.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with IT teams.
• Educate users on best practices, security, and IT procedures.
