Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 1 to plan, manage and execute all aspects of assigned construction projects. You will lead safety culture, coordinate with subcontractors, manage timelines, and ensure project goals are met for timely and profitable completion.

You will supervise staff, organize workflow, and ensure documentation, QA/QC, and closeout activities align with JE Dunn’s standards.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s preferred in construction mgmt or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years construction experience and 1+ years field supervision.
• Ability to manage budgets and ensure safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the project and manage material, equipment, and logistics.
• Oversee safety, quality, and EEO programs for the project.
• Develop work plans and coordinate with subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Manage project schedule with Project Manager and update daily reports.
• Lead meetings including daily standups and weekly trades meetings.
• Monitor budget, costs, and cost reports; report progress to owners and design team.
• Ensure documentation, QA/QC, and closeout activities are completed.
