Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 1 to lead safety culture, manage subcontractors, and drive project execution on complex builds in the Advanced Facilities Group. You’ll plan, monitor and document progress, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion with strong collaboration across owners, architects and vendors.

The role requires 3+ years in construction and 1+ years of field supervision, with a High School diploma (Bachelor’s preferred).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years construction experience.
• 1+ years field supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the project’s safety culture and mentor staff.
• Manage subcontractors and overall job/workflow.
• Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, QA/QC, EEO).
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate and manage project site care and control.
• Lead daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Participate in progress and OAC meetings.
• Create and manage project schedules with the Project Manager.
• Track budget and costs using project management reports.
• Provide project information to owners, design team and authorities.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and logs.
• Support project pursuit and pre-planning activities.
