Job summary

Charlie Mike Recruiting is seeking a Construction Sales Estimator to generate accurate cost estimates and drive sales for construction projects in Belvidere, IL. The role combines technical estimating with client-facing responsibilities.

You will review plans, perform take-offs, price labor/materials, coordinate with vendors, and present bids to clients while pursuing new business opportunities. A bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering and 3–5 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of construction estimation experience with a focus on sales.
• Proficiency in estimation tools and CRM software is desirable.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans/specifications to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs and price labor, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare and submit accurate estimates within deadlines.
• Collaborate with sales to understand client needs and project scope.
• Present estimates to clients and assist in negotiations.
• Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors for quotes and scope.
• Monitor market trends to keep estimates competitive.
