Job summary

Charlie Mike Recruiting is seeking a Construction Sales Estimator to generate accurate cost estimates for construction projects while driving sales opportunities. The role combines technical estimating with strong client interaction and negotiation to secure new business.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of construction estimation experience, proficiency in estimation software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift), and CRM tools, plus excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• Certifications in construction estimation or sales are a plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction estimation, with sales.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, and docs to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs and apply pricing for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare and submit accurate estimates within established deadlines.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support during client meetings and presentations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Present and explain estimates to clients, addressing concerns and questions.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and securing new business.
• Follow up on submitted bids to close sales and gather feedback for future estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
