Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I to lead store construction, expansion, and remodel initiatives across our brands. You will manage from pre-construction through warranty, coordinating bids, budgets, and schedules with internal teams and external contractors.

Ideal candidates possess a bachelor's degree in construction or engineering, 5–7 years of industry experience, and strong leadership and communication skills. Limited travel and on-site oversight are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; construction management or engineering preferred.
• 5–7 years of construction industry experience.
• Ability to lead projects with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes with GC's, CM's, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate bid documents, RFQ packages, and timelines to minimize costs and risks.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, and payment processing.
• Oversee change orders and maintain alignment with budget and schedule.
• Review ARCH/MEP drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Provide value engineering input and cost-saving ideas.
• Develop detailed phase plans, schedules, milestones, and progress tracking.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Preconstruction/E&A, and Operations.
