Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Project Coordinator 1 to support construction and installation projects. You will assist Construction and Project Managers with coordination, documentation, and equipment ordering for fire alarm, suppression, and sprinkler work.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely updates, and strong customer service. Ideal candidates have MS Office skills, multitasking ability, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows.
• Strong multitasking and deadline-oriented work style.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support Construction Managers and Project Managers with coordination and documentation for Install base projects.
• Order equipment and manage day-to-day administrative tasks.
• Coordinate with Sales on project bookings and releases.
• Set up prevailing wage, CCIP/OCIP projects and report monthly when required.
• Process and track material shipments and purchases with vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist PMs with billing forms, invoicing questions, and AR dispute resolution.
• Attend weekly Work in Progress meetings and support AP/finance tasks.
