Job summary

ADUSA Corporate Support seeks a senior Project Manager I for store development, expansion, and remodels within Food Lion-contracted projects. You will manage bidding, contracts, and schedules, coordinate with multiple departments, and drive on-time openings across the Carolinas and nearby states.

Role requires oversight from pre-construction through closeout, budget control, and vendor management, with 80% travel Monday-Thursday and a remote office day on Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; Preferred in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects through influence and drive accountability across contractors, developers / landlords, vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Practical construction technology and methods.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and execute complex phased planning and construction schedules.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to recognize construction risk, evaluate alternatives and drive issues to resolution.
• Ability to travel weekly
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities with a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes related to GC's, CM's, subcontractors and suppliers for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Provide construction oversight for developer/landlord-built projects and monitor performance against plans.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, processing, and payment of requisitions and invoices for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Manage Construction Change Authorization/Change Order process to ensure changes are valid and timely.
• Oversee bid, contract and requisition approval processes for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Oversee redline review of ARCH/MEP plans for compliance with prototype standards and codes.
• Provide value engineering feedback to Engineering on assigned projects.
• Develop and implement cost-saving ideas, value engineering, and construction methods to save time and money.
• Plan new store, expansion, remodel projects with detailed phase plans, schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Refrigeration, Real Estate, Preconstruction/A&E, Operations and other stakeholders.
