Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I to lead store development projects from pre-construction through warranty. You will manage bids, contracts, schedules, and closeout, coordinating with Purchasing, Real Estate, Operations, and Engineering.

Applicants can reside in NC, SC or VA and must travel ~80% (Mon–Thu) with a remote office day on Fridays. This role supports Food Lion-contracted projects and requires strong leadership and financial oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Ability to travel weekly and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GCs/CMs and subcontractors.
• Prepare and process contracts, purchase orders, and invoices for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Oversee change orders and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Monitor redline reviews of ARCH/MEP plans for code conformance.
• Develop and implement value engineering and cost-saving ideas.
• Plan and schedule new store, expansion, and remodel projects with milestones.
