Job summary

Skanska seeks a dynamic Project Engineer to support project execution through contract setup, administration, and field coordination. You will help manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation while coordinating with the client, trade contractors, and design partners on-site.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with emphasis on safety and adherence to project schedules. This position is based in Charlottesville, Virginia, and supports diverse construction

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience creating documentation such as RFIs and client correspondence on issues related to contract notification provisions.
• 1+ years reading and understanding construction plans, drawings, and technical specifications; outline required submissions for clients and ensure approvals.
• 1+ years' experience with project close out.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution through contract setup, project administration, and field coordination.
• Maintain project data in the PMIS, prepare bid packages, and manage submittals and RFIs.
• Support permit process and maintain accurate project documentation throughout the life of the project.
• On-site presence to monitor construction activities, inspect deliveries, attend safety meetings, and coordinate among project team, client, and trade partners.
