Job summary

Skanska USA is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to join the on-site Project Management Team. You will support contract setup, submittals, and the bid package process while coordinating change orders and scheduling activities to keep projects on track.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience with RFIs, client communications, reading construction plans, and understanding technical specs to ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 Years of experience creating documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
  • 1-3 years of reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings. Able to outline specifications required for submission to clients and ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.
  • 1-3 years expereince with project close out.
  • Bachelor's Degree – Construction Management, Engineering, or similar or 8 years of equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • The Project Engineer works on-site within the Project Management Team and is responsible for contract setup, submittals, assisting with the bid package process, change orders and assisting with the scheduling of the project.
